Harry is in a bad way following his car accident and it is touch and go whether he will survive, Mr Grove though feels that this is his moment to shine and takes over the running of the store.

Meanwhile Lady Mae upsets everybody with her plans to stage a suffragette demonstration in the store – until Grove makes it plain she is not welcome. On the romance front Agnes and Henri are growing closer.
