COMPOSER

Leading British composer Adrian Johnston has scored over twenty feature films including Sparkle; Becoming Jane; Lawless Heart; Kinky Boots; Lassie; Jude; House of Mirth; Isolation and Piccadilly Jim. Amongst his varied television work he has been nominated for four BAFTA Awards for Our Mutual Friend; Perfect Strangers; Tipping the Velvet and Stephen Poliakoff’s The Lost Prince.  He won an Emmy Award for Shackleton and a further nomination for Gideon’s Daughter.  He has written and performed live music for silent films and has recorded two feature length silent film scores: La Terre (1921) and the Harold Lloyd comedy Hot Water (1924).  Johnston has also written over 70 scores for diverse theater companies including the RSC and the Royal National Theatre.  He has been a drummer with various pop groups including The Waterboys and The Mike Flowers Pops.
