Simon’s directing career spans both television
and film. His most recent work includes directing Foyle’s War
and an episode of Poirot, both for ITV. Simon directed the BBC
adaptation of The Scarlet Pimpernel starring Richard E. Grant
which went on to win RTS Awards for Best Drama and Best Actress.
Other directing credits include: Murder Rooms, Nancherrow
starring Joanna Lumley – the sequel to Rosamund Pilcher’s
Coming Home, Forbidden Territory, The Lost Honour Of Kathryn
Beck, Cinder Path, Therese Raquin, Mother Love – winner of
BAFTA’s Best Drama Serial, Rebecca – an adaptation of Daphne
Du Maurier’s novel and the BBC’s award winning series
Microbes And Men.
Simon also directed the BBC adaptation of Pride And Prejudice
which went on to win numerous awards and gained an Emmy
nomination.
