WRITER Born in
Liverpool, England in 1946.
Very highly
regarded writer whose work has tended towards the working
class, social injustice and political. Broke through to the
mainstream with the now legendary Boys From The Blackstuff
and Scully, continuing on with the controversial Monocled
Mutineer and GBH. Latterly has worked on adaptations such as
a revamped Francis Durbridge thriller (Melissa) and a dark
version of Oliver Twist. |
