WRITER Born in
the Cardiff, Wales in 1936.
Easily one of
the foremost talents in the UK. Responsible for most of the
big TV adaptations these days, witness the superb Bleak
House. Has always adapted novels for the small screen but
has contributed some truly original material too (especially
A Very Peculiar Practice and kids show Marmalade Atkins),
always honest and often surreal. Davies is a former lecturer
at the University of Warwick. |
